Total Eclipse economic impact on Grand Island
Grand Island could see $1.5 million of economic impact from the total solar eclipse, according to a study commissioned by the G.I. Chamber of Commerce.
Chamber president Cindy Johnson said the study compared August 21 to a busy day at the Nebraska State Fair.
Johnson said hotels were full in G.I. on Sunday before the eclipse, but she's not expecting that to continue Monday.
