Kawasaki opens first U.S. aircraft factory in Nebraska
The demand for aircraft is growing.
In Lincoln Thursday, Kawasaki opened its first aircraft business in Nebraska.
It’s the company's first location in the country.
The factory will manufacture cargo doors for the Boeing 777x aircraft.
The grand opening for the company's Aerospace Division was held Thursday.
Back in 2015, Governor Pete Ricketts met with leaders from Kawasaki during a trade mission to Japan.
He's expected to make another trip to the country in September.
In the Lincoln plant, Kawasaki will use automated equipment for production and also a painting robot.
