Kearney High School students 'connect the dots' at college & career readiness program
KEARNEY, Nebr. (NTV) —
Students met with employers on Wednesday at Kearney High School, to get a head start on planning life after they graduate.
Connecting the Dots is a program designed to get kids thinking about college and careers.
These 10th graders got a chance to meet with people from 60 different industries.
Kim Bearnes is a Stanton County Extension Educator and co-chair of the program. She says Connecting the Dots allows students to see just how many opportunities there are in the Cornhusker State.
“We want the students to be able to stay home, we want them to develop new businesses, and be able to keep our talent here,” said Bearnes
More than 300 students participated in Wednesday’s event.
