Nebraska tourism impact from the Solar Eclipse

Hundreds of thousands of visitors made their way to Nebraska for the solar eclipse.

Now, we have the results on how tourism impacted our area.

According to the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce, Hall and Buffalo Counties had a record number of visitors.

Lodging tax revenue from last year and this year's visitor impact:

Hall: August 2017- $145,262; August 2016- $99,127

Adams: August 2017- $32,113; August 2016- $21,551

Buffalo: August 2017- $180,964; August 2016- $110,588

Lancaster: August 2017- $350,137; August 2016- $322,158

Sarpy: August 2017- $158,035; August 2016- $120,222
