Nominate Nebraska or Iowa resident for heroic act to be honored at Husker game
LINCOLN, Neb. —
Nominations are being taken to honor acts of heroism at the "Heroes Game" at the Nebraska vs. Iowa football game at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln on Nov. 24.
Fans of each school are encouraged to nominate everyday citizens of Iowa and Nebraska who deserve to be honored for extraordinary acts of heroism.
One citizen-hero from each state will be invited to attend the game as a special guest of the teams, receive on-field recognition, and have his or her name inscribed on the game trophy.
Entrants may nominate any person who meet the following criteria:
- Resides, works or attends school in Iowa or Nebraska
- Is at least 18 years old at the time of entry
- Has given permission for nominator to submit the required Entry information, which includes nominee’s personal information
- Has performed a heroic act between September 1, 2016 and August 31, 2017
