Outdoor expo gives taste of summer with boats, UTVs
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. —
Although the cold weather may be keeping some people indoors this weekend, Fonner Park in Grand Island has something for outdoor lovers to get into.
The third-annual Fonner Park Outdoor Expo is back at the fairgrounds, giving outdoor enthusiasts a one-stop shop for all of their hobby needs.
The expo features boats, UTVs, home décor, RV homes and more.
Participants are able to attend seminars on how to catch walleye.
The Fonner Park and Heartland Event Center's planner said Fonner Park is the perfect place to hold the annual event, and it's an opportunity for local vendors to show what they've got to a specific audience.
"The purpose of the outdoor expo is just to bring all of your outdoor needs to one location, one show and years ago this was just an RV show and about three years ago we revamped it and made it into a total outdoor expo," Dianne Willey said.
Admission costs $5 for adults and $3 for kids.
Friday's show wrapped up at 7 p.m. and they'll pick back up at 10 a.m. Saturday, with one last chance again on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
