Police: 72-year-old dies after altercation in Hastings, one person arrested
HASTINGS, Neb. —
An autopsy is scheduled for a man that police say was in an altercation before dying on Tuesday.
Hastings police said an unresponsive person was reported at the 200 block of N Bellevue at 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
Police said when they arrived they started to perform CPR on a 72-year-old man who was taken to Mary Lanning hospital, where he died.
Police said they discovered there was an altercation before the 72-year-old became unresponsive.
According to Hastings Police, they have arrested Benjamin Beebe, 57, of Hastings for third degree assault by mutual consent.
Police says this is an ongoing investigation and will give us more information as it becomes available.
