V.F.W. hosts pancake feed fundraiser

A local veteran's service organization, hosted its annual pancake feed as a way to say thank you to the community for their support.

Members of Kearney's V.F.W. Post 759 served up pancakes, eggs, and sausage Sunday.

It's the post's annual fundraiser to help pay for programs and help vets in need.

“That's the nice thing about these community events is it allows us a little bit of outreach and lets people know we're here for our veterans and maybe it's not the biggest help in the world, but a little hand here and there can do wonders for some who need it,” said Jim Lutz, Quartermaster for V.F.W. Post 759.

The VFW raised over $1,000 Sunday.
