New radio home for UNK athletics

UNK breaks huddle prior to its spring game, played at Ron and Carol Cope Stadium on April 22, 2017 (NTV News)

KEARNEY, NEB. - UNK is moving to a more rural location, at least when it comes to their new home for radio coverage.

KRVN Rural Radio and Jayson Jorgensen are now the "Voice of the Lopers".

Most of the games are being broadcast on 93.1 The River, as the two sides came to an agreement for the next five years.

As far as what's hitting the airwaves – every football game is being broadcast, a select number of volleyball matches – as well as any from the postseason, plus as many men's and women's basketball games they can get to, so long as there's no interference with football, and any other sports as available.

Jorgensen tells NTV if 93.1 does not get to specific geographic areas, The River app is a great option as well for fans to listen in on the Lopers.
