One of the Broncos top options at running back last year is playing quarterback this year in Anthony Cloyd.

So the top two options in the backfield is left with 2016's leading rusher, Tahj Willingham, and a guy who spent his first two years playing defense, Travis Agagah.

"Tahj is kid of that slash guy, and you saw it in the first quarter and fourth quarter, he was able to hit that cutback extremely well and make a little bit out of not a lot," said seventh year head coach Tony Harper. "He's very special. He can catch the ball out of the backfield too.

Willingham is coming off a sophomore season in which he rushed for 659 yards and eight touchdowns, both a Bronco best.

As for the other choice, Harper has a lot of hope in the potential he's seen.

"Now Travis has been a great surprise this spring. We always knew he had it in him. Coming from Gretna out of high school, he was a very good back, but he's gotten so much bigger. He was on defense for two years and moved to our offense last year. He's kind of really came into his own. He's got great leg drive, he's got good vision. He's a guy we've been looking for that when we need to get three or four yards, we're going to get Trav in there and get the ball to him," says Harper.

Agagah has only carried the ball five times in his college football career, four times in 2015 and once in 2016.
