Danger lose McCombs for several weeks

The Nebraska Danger didn't see any action from running back Lyle McCombs in the season opener against the Salt Lake City Screaming Eagles, and now they can expect him out for another two–to–six weeks after being placed on the short–term injured reserve list.

McCombs finishing third in the league with 38.8 rushing yards per game during the 2016 season, while leading the Mean Green with 124.4 all–purpose yards last year.

The Danger rushed for 103 yards without him in Salt Lake. Derrick Bernard had 58 and wide receiver Eric Thomas added another 45.

Nebraska is off until Saturday when Wichita Falls (1-0) visits the Heartland Events Center.
