LOSS Scramble registrations continue
KEARNEY, Neb. - First and foremost, we have a blast with my annual LOSS Scramble.
Then there's the other portion of raising money for a non–profit, volunteer group, dedicated to helping families in Central Nebraska during perhaps the most traumatic event in their life.
Registrations are underway for the 4th Annual LOSS Scramble, a cause near and dear to me as someone who lost his father to suicide 24 years ago and co–founded the Central Nebraska LOSS Team.
The money raised goes towards the LOSS organization, an acronym for Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors.
We at the Central Nebraska LOSS Team are a group of survivors and trained clinicians, all working on a volunteer basis, who visit with families following the loss of a loved one to suicide.
This double elimination volleyball tournament, presented by Younes Hospitality, the Central Nebraska LOSS Team, and NTV is open to all competitors of skill and age.
The tournament itself starts at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26 at the Big Apple Fun Center.
In year's past, we have had prizes for every single participant, plus we offer coffee, food, and water for all.
