Moomey falls to Karasev in Cadet World Championships
Kearney's Phillip Moomey dropping his first round match at the Cadet World Championships on Saturday. Moomey avoiding elimination because his opponent easily advanced to the finals, earning Phillip a spot in the repechage matches. Phillip needed three consecutive wins to bring home a bronze medal.
Vladislav Karasev jumped out to a 6-0 lead before the end of the first two minutes. Moomey would cut into the deficit with a 4 point takedown, but would ultimately be eliminated, 8-5.
