Northwest hosting its Dave Gee Invite, named after the former track and field coach who was twice named the Nebraska boys coach of the year, while also helping the Viking girls to a state title in 2010.

Central City may be the home of some top hurdlers in Class C. Erica Stuart gets to the line first with a time of 16.96 in the girls 100 meter hurdles. For the boys, Vincent Ohlman getting through the 110 meter high hurdles in a time of 14.92. Its his fastest time of the year according to

When it came to the girls 4x800 meter relay, Northwest went out with a very fast start and they were well in front of the other teams. The Viking four getting around their eight laps in 9:54.38.

It was a tighter race for the boys 3200 meter relay. Adams Central had a slight edge on Northwest after the first leg. The Patriots won at the Minden Invite last week. Yet Northwest really turned it on and win with relative ease, 8:41.96.
