Kearney Runza uses late rally to top Lincoln Northeast

Trailing 2-1 in the 6th inning, Kearney Runza scored twice to top Lincoln Northeast 3-2 in the first game of the Kearney-Hastings senior tournament for both teams.

Jake Skala went the distance for Runza with 25 first pitch strikes and seven strikeouts. Skala also finished with a 1.14 WHIP.

Ben Dinkel had a team-leading two hits and a game high two RBI for Runza, including one of the two in the game-turning 6th inning rally.

Kearney plays two more games on Saturday (11 a.m., 6:30 p.m.) and again home on Sunday (1:30 p.m.).
