Long jumping with Dylan Reynolds and the kid put on a show. The Broken Bow product, and future Nebraska football walk–on, extending the school record to 22 feet, 10.0 inches. It didn't stop Gothenburg's Dawson Graham from taking to Twitter with some friendly trash talk.
Busting out of the blocks in the girls 100 meter hurdles, Allie Johnson out of Adams Central with a 17.1 for the gold.
Minden's Marshall Chasek edges out Austin Miller from Broken Bow by half a step, 17.3 the winning time to Chasek.
Adams Central making up a sizable distance in the girls 3200 meter relay and closing strong to win it, clocking in at 10:17.4.
The Patriot boys were also in contention for the boys 4X800, building a healthy advantage by the time they made the final handoff. What Adams Central does not have in its arsenal, is an Aidan Wheelock. A cross country state champion for Minden in the fall of 2016, Wheelock ran the anchor leg for the Whippets and basically flipped the deficit on the Patriots by the time he got to the wire. Minden stopping the clock at 8:43.1.
