Riverside captures four-peat

Ty Martinsen, a junior at Riverside, rushes for a touchdown on the opening drive of the Nebraska six-man state championship on Nov. 9, 2017 at Foster Field in Kearney (KHGI)

KEARNEY --- Riverside won its fourth consecutive Nebraska six-man state football championship, 48-36, over Harvard on Thursday at Ron and Carol Cope Stadium.

Ty Martinsen helped get the Chargers out to a 20-8 lead with a rushing touchdown for the games first score and two more passing touchdowns.

Harvard would have trailed 20-0 in the first had they not converted a 39-yard touchdown pass from Noah Okraska to Auston Bell on 4th & 15 to make it a 14-8 game.
