Substate hoops move into classes C and D
LINCOLN, Neb. —
Changes are a coming for the way NSAA postseason basketball is played for C1, C2, D1 and D2 beginning next season.
Geographical subdistricts remain intact but from there, it's a whole new ball game.
The NSAA is introducing substate basketball to those four classes with 12 subdistrict winners and the top four remaining wild cards all advancing to the districts, which are being played at neutral sites.
From there, the winners advance to Lincoln for the state tournament.
Class B instituted a similar format this season and it provided a spectacular seven games for those in Lincoln.
