Amherst man sentenced in sexual assault case of 14-year-old girl

(MGN Online).

An Amherst man will serve 3 to 7 years in prison after being convicted of an amended charge of attempted sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl in 2017. The charge was originally first-degree sexual assault of a minor.

20-year-old Tyler Baker pleaded no contest to attempted sexual assault, and received credit for 161 days already served. In exchange, three other charges related to the case were dropped, including sexual assault, enticement with an electronic device and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Court records said Baker abused the girl on Sept. 19.
