Dave Griek's 5th Annual LOSS Scramble
Registrations are underway for Dave Griek's 5th Annual LOSS Scramble, a cause near and dear to him as someone who lost his father to suicide nearly 25 years ago and co–founded the Central Nebraska LOSS Team.
The money raised goes towards the LOSS organization, an acronym for Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors.
They are a group of survivors and trained clinicians, all working on a volunteer basis, who visit with families following the loss of a loved one to suicide.
The funds help keep the non–profit organization stable and fully functioning to get materials and information for those family sit–downs.
We’re changing up the format a little bit this year, going with pool play for groups of three, followed by a 12-team, single-elimination tournament.
Once again, presented by Younes Hospitality, the Central Nebraska LOSS Team and NTV, the event is open to anyone who wants to play and support a great cause.
Teams can be between four and eight players and it’s an $80 entry fee with in-kind donations accepted for those with a larger number of players. Registration can be done here.
The tournament begins at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18, at the Big Apple Fun Center.
In year's past, we have had prizes for every single participant, plus we offer coffee, food from Skeeter Barnes and water for all who attend.
