The Grand Island Community Foundation announced Thursday that they have established a Disaster Relief Fund for central Nebraska. Local communities such as Dannebrog, Boelus and St. Paul have seen major flooding.

Funds will be available for the local areas to assist with relief related to the flooding.

“This is the time for communities to come together and for neighbors to help neighbors. The devastation in our area is unlike anything that we have seen before.” said Melissa DeLaet, CEO of the Grand Island Community Foundation.

Those who want to contribute can do so online. The foundation will be in contact with local communities to distribute the funds.
