An Osceola man facing charges for allegedly shooting at Hastings Police now faces a new charge of assaulting a corrections officer.

OSCEOLA MAN CHARGED IN HASTINGS OFFICER-INVOLVED SHOOTING PLEADS NOT GUILTY

Anthony Mattison, 34, is charged in Lancaster County Court with second-degree assault.

Court records do not have an affidavit detailing the case. However, a complaint outlining the charge says Mattison “unlawfully struck or wounded” a sergeant while confined at the Lincoln Correctional Facility.

Mattison is currently being held at the Reception and Treatment Center where he had been ordered to undergo a competency evaluation.
