Ice jams on Nebraska rivers cause concerns of flooding among NEMA

The Nebraska Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) said they're concerned ice jams could lead to flooding later this week.

"Our concern at this point is the weather today is going to be followed by sunny days. We are going to be in a freeze and thaw cycle and so we have a concern for ice jams and we will monitor that and see if we have additional problems," NEMA Assistant Director Bryan Tuma said.

Tuma said they're keeping an eye on the Platte, Loup and Niobrara Rivers.
