Police: Sergeant injured in Columbus shootout expected to recover
COLUMBUS, Neb. —
The Columbus Police Department said a sergeant’s condition continues to improve after a shooting Thursday.
The department posted on Facebook Sunday, saying “The doctor’s are confident he will make a full recovery. We would like to thank everyone for their prayers, thoughts, food and donations!”
Wangler was shot while trying to serve an arrest warrant on Jorje Robledo, according to CPD.
On Friday, Robledo, who was also shot, was listed in critical condition.
