UPDATE: Shooting at truck stop near Grand Island

Police say one man is in custody after law enforcement officers began investigating a shooting at Bosselman Travel Center near Grand Island.

The Hall County Sheriff's Office said they were called to check on the welfare of a truck driver just after 3 p.m. Thursday at 3335 W Wood River Rd.

After deputies arrived, they said they located the truck associated with the truck driver and identified as Brian Clark of Fargo, N.D.

According to police, when deputies approached the truck they heard a gunshot come from inside the cab of the truck. Clark was then removed from the vehicle and seized a handgun from inside the cab of the truck.

Clark was arrested and booked into the Hall County Jail on charges of terroristic threats, use of a weapon in the commission of a felony, and obstructing a government operation.

All entrances and exits of the truck stop were blocked for a few hours.

Those re-opened around 6 p.m.

No injuries were sustained in this incident.
