McDermott becomes a Maverick

Doug McDermott rises on a three-point attempt with the New York Knicks (KHGI)

Doug McDermott needs yet another nickname.

How about Doug McJourneyman.

The New York Knicks sent McDermott to Dallas in a three–team trade, netting Denver's Emannuel Mudiay. The Nuggets picked up 34–year–old guard Devin Harris. Dallas also received a second-round pick from Denver (via Portland) while the Nuggets pick up a second-round selection from New York (via LA Clippers).

McDermott played in 55 games for the Knicks, started once, and averaged 7.2 points per game. He's expected to come off the bench and provide depth at wing behind Harrison Barnes.
