Storm, Musketeers score nine in OT thriller

Connor McMenamin got the game winner in overtime as Tri-City topped Sioux City, 5-4, Friday night at the Viaero Center.

After falling behind 1-0 in the first period, Tri-City answered with three straight goals in the second period by Tyler Ward (0:33), Blais Richartz (12:06) and Jack Summers (15:29) to take a 3-1 lead. With 22 seconds left in the period, Sioux City got one back from Ryan Leibold, his third of the season.

Sioux City scored two more in the third period and held a 4-3 lead until Tyler Madden knotted it up at 4-4 with a goal at the 17:49 mark, his 10th of the year and fourth in four games with the Storm.

Tri-City is back at home on Saturday night when Omaha visits the Viaero Center for a 7:35 p.m. start time.
