Kearney’s Viaero Center is becoming a hub of hockey as the arena plays host to the USHL/NHL Top Prospects game Tuesday night.

Scouts from every NHL and USHL team are expected to be in attendance as the next generation of hockey stars take the ice.

"The biggest thing for us is to make sure these guys are showcasing themselves to the best of their ability," said Tri-City head coach Anthony Noreen.

The Storm’s leader, Noreen, is guiding the West team, while Brad Patterson of Youngstown heads up the East.

"The depth on both teams, I think that's a strength," said Patterson. "Team East versus Team West, if there's a seven-game series, I bet there would be a first-star, a different guy each night."

Both men have a lot of talent to manage on their respective rosters and both expect their team to try and set the tone early.

"We want them to play hard," Noreen says. "That's the message to our group; 'Let's play an up-tempo, fast game. Let's get on the attack.' No different than when you come down to an NHL game or a USHL game."

Patterson gets Storm forward Tyler Madden and defenseman Hugo Blixt on his roster, while Noreen boasts forward Wyllum Deveaux plus blue-liner Jace Foskey.

Tickets are still available to the game at and it begins at 7:35 p.m.
