The Lopers women's basketball team has earned their stripes this season. UNK is 6–0 after dominating Bethel College at home by 25. Stark contrast from 2016, when the Loper ladies lost 4 of their first 6. The challenging MIAA slate awaits them now. UNK is pleased with the start, but they're hoping their best play is still to come.

" I think we're playing good basketball on both ends of the floor, doing things that help teams win," said Coach Eighmey. "Defending and rebounding, getting good quality shots. Those are things that help teams win. I think we're doing those things on a regular basis well. I hope that we continue to grow and I think this team can get a lot better."

This is the best start for coach Eighmey since she took the reins of the program back in 2015. Lope Show is hosting the unbeaten Pittsburg State Gorillas on Thursday at the Health and Sports Center at 5:30 pm.
