But it wouldn't be enough to hold off the Eagles scoring game. Southern Valley goes onto win it 51–39.

Down the road, Blue Hill Bobcats facing the Kenesaw Blue Devils to tip off the season.

1st quarter, Jacob Weiler zips around a defender, tossing it up on a one handed shot, gets two for Kenesaw.

Blue Hill quick to answer back, giving the rock to Maccoy Menke who fires a three pointer, and gets nothing but net.

Back on offense for Kenesaw, senior Will Gallagher gets the ball inside the paint and sinks it in from right under net.

Blue Devils would keep building the lead, they go onto win it 58–40.
