Mogul falls in semifinal thanks to Rogers' ace
YORK, Neb. —
Ryan Rogers aced the 165 yard 16th hole to win his match with Dalton Mogul, 4 and 2.
Rogers, a product of Omaha, Neb., got out to a 1 up lead after the second hole and made it a 2 up lead through three. By the time Mogul and Rogers were at hole eight, Mogul found himself 4 down.
The York, Neb. native halved the 10th hole and won the next two holes to cut Rogers' lead in half. A double bogey on 13 allowed Rogers to go 3-up but Mogul answered back with a birdie on 14 and was once again 2 down.
A birdie on 15 for Rogers gave him a dormie three entering the 16th.
Rogers and Alex Zillig (La Vista, Neb.) play in the finals on Thursday starting at 8:00 a.m.
