The Shrine Bowl of Nebraska announcing head coaches for the 2019 game and York’s Glen Snodgrass is heading up the South.

"I am extremely honored to be selected as the head coach for the South team in this year's Shrine Bowl Game," Snodgrass said in a release following the announcement.

Snodgrass has taken the Dukes to the Class B postseason in each of the last six years and brought home the school’s first title in 2017 with an impressive 31-0 blanking of Omaha Skutt Catholic.

"When I think of all the great players and coaches who have been involved in this game over the years it is very humbling. Most importantly this is an opportunity for us coaches and players to help support a great cause and a fantastic organization," said Snodgrass.

Joining Snodgrass on the South roster is his assistant Matt Kern and Eric Ryan of Overton, the previous coaching locale for Snodgrass before moving to York in 2011.

The 61st annual Shrine Bowl of Nebraska game will be played at the University of Nebraska-Kearney’s Ron and Carol Cope Stadium Foster Field in Kearney, Nebraska on June 1, 2019.
