CALLAWAY --- South Loup senior quarterback Jack Rush scored four touchdowns on the ground as the Bobcats knocked off Medicine Valley, 34-14, Monday night in the D1 semifinal.

Both teams came into the game having advanced further than ever before. South Loup only had five wins in the history of the Bobcats, Callaway, and Arnold combined. Medicine Valley collected 10 wins combined in their first 12 trips to the postseason.

With the loss, Medicine Valley (11-1) loses its bid at a perfect season and playing in the first state final as a school.

South Loup (12-0) moves on to the Nebraska D1 state championship on Monday, Nov. 20 at 10:15 a.m. where they face East Butler (10-2), who knocked off previously perfect Howells-Dodge (11-1), 22-12 on Monday in Dwight, Neb.
